Unboxing

  • To begin with, unbox the product box. Open the printer package. Check all the components present inside it. Take out the packaging materials one by one. Keep the printer aside.
  • Remove all the protective tapes from the inside and outside of your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer.
  • Since the printer comes with cartridges, just take out the cartridge and remove all the protective tapes around it. Insert the cartridges carefully into the printer. Ensure that the cartridges match the label correctly.

Paperloading:

  • Just pull out the paper tray from the printer.
  • Adjust the paper guides.
  • Insert the paper into the tray. Ensure that you do not overload it.
  • Put the paper tray back into the printer.

Turning on the printer:

  • Now, connect one end of the supplied power cord to the back of your printer and the other end to an electrical outlet. Next, press the Power button to turn on the printer. Make the necessary settings.

The hardware setup is now complete. Since the printer is not yet connected to your computer, download the printer driver and install it on your computer to establish the communication.

Software installation:

Download the printer driver from the official HP website. Run the software and continue with the on-screen instructions. When prompted, select the connection method of your choice. Additionally, you need to download the HP Easy Start software using the following instructions.

  • On your Windows computer, open a web browser.
  • Go to the official HP setup page by entering the required URL in the address bar. On the printer software setup page, you need to select the Download button. It automatically saves HP Easy Start on your Windows computer. The downloading process starts now. 
  • Go to the Downloads folder and run the printer driver to initiate the installation. 
  • You’ll be prompted to connect the USB cable. Connect it.
  • Perform the on-screen instructions to complete the software installation.
