HP OFFICEJET PRO 6962 SETUP

HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 is a compact, feature-rich All-in-One pPrinter aimed at professionals. The performance of the printer is far superior compared towith its peers and it can handle large-size paper easily. The printer comes with a color touchscreen, which is quite handy for daily usage. You can fill up to 225 sheets in the input tray and can print on two sides (Duplex printing). HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 supports various connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB connection, and Wireless Direct. Apart from this, it also supports mobile connectivity options, includinge: Apple’s AirPrint (for iOS users), Mopria (for Android users), and HP’s own ePrint application for printing from and scanning to various cloud and social media websites. Unboxing and initial setup:

  • Unbox the printer and take off the protective materials.
  • Cross-check whether you have received all the contents inside the box.
  • The box contents include the HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 printer, Ink cartridges (Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow), Power cord, CD-ROM, User manual, and some paper stuffs.
  • GuardConnect one of the ends of the power cord to the printer’s rear end and the other end to an the electrical supply.
  • Firmly press the printer's Power button to turn it on.
  • As the printer comes with a 2.65 inches touch screen, you can easily go through it to finish the initial setup.

Ink cartridge installation:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Press the front of the ink cartridge to release it from the cover.
  • Use the color-coded letters to slide the ink cartridges (Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow) into their respective slots.
  • Once installed successfully, close the ink cartridge access door.

Paper loading steps:

  • First, lift the output tray.
  • Draw out the input tray to extend it entirely out of the printer.
  • Slide the paper width guides out as much as possible.
  • Insert the paper in a way that the print side is facing down.
  • Slide the paper width guides until they touch the edge of the stack of paper.
  • Close the paper tray.
  • Finally, pull out the output tray extension.

Driver downloading procedure:

Note: The below driver download and installation steps will apply for both Windows and Mac computers.

  • First, power on your computer and connect it to a stable Internet.
  • Go to the printer's official support page.
  • If the OS family and OS version are incorrect, then change orrect them according to your computer’s latest configuration.
  • Once selected, click on Change.
  • From the list of drivers, choose the onedrivers that isare most needed.
  • Read the End-User License Agreement and click on Agree to the EULA and Download to proceed further.
  • Suppose , if you do not agree to the license agreement, you can’t proceed with the installation steps.

Tip: Usually, the driver size is small, so the downloading time might not take too longmuch time.

Driver installation procedure:

  • Locate the downloaded setup file (cCan be found on your PC’s Downloads folder or bBrowser’s download section).
  • Open the downloaded setup file to start the driver installation.
  • Select the preferred language and click OK.
  • Go through the End-User License Agreement and click on the Yes button.
  • Choose your connection type.
  • You can select between a wired and or wireless connection (depending on your choice).
  • Follow the on-screen prompts and establish a connection between your HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 printer and the computer.
  • Click Finish to close the installation window.
  • Once the driver installation process is over, restart your computer.
  • Also, you can print a test page to cross-check if the printer is working fine without any issues.
